We've now loaded the first 1000 or so mappings into our ontology browser: http://ontology.teknowledge.com. You'll notice there are now three KBs loaded in the browser: Merge (just the current version of the SUMO), WordNet (just the mappings from WordNet to the SUMO), and Merge-WordNet (both the SUMO and the mappings). All of the mappings are represented as instances of the following formula schemas: (subsumingExternalConcept ) (synonymousExternalConcept ) The first formula means that is the most specific superclass of , and the second formula means that and have the same meaning. Note that WordNet synsets are represented as an English word prepended to the eight digit numeric synset ID. For example, dry_cleaning-WN00161520 represents the synset of dry cleaning in WordNet that has the identifier 00161520. Note too that the version of WordNet used in the mappings is 1.6. Let me know if you have any questions or comments about these mappings. -Ian
